“Love of God and Love of Neighbor”
Via del Señor (The Lord’s Way), is an organization that provides the basic necessities for families to survive in rural Argentina. To continue this apostolic work of love, it is the Eucharist that gives them strength.

OBERÁ, ARGENTINA — Since 2003, ‘The Lord’s Way’ has been impacting the poor people of Argentina with the ‘Love of God.’ Jim, Silvina, and some other people of Ireland, decided that they had to do something about the very difficult living conditions in rural Argentina. Since those early days of the apostolate, the community of ‘The Lord’s Way’ has gone to heights beyond anything ever imagined.
Today’s Story
During this time of Lent, perhaps this your moment for your local parish community to give some type of gift back to God the father? The people of Ireland have taken that call very seriously, as they have financed almost the entire project of ‘The Lord’s Way’ down in Argentina. Because of those donations, six homes, a school, and a chapel dedicated to God the Father, have been built on the land purchased back in 2003. And what must be remembered is that these donations are from the ordinary people of Ireland. As Jim says, ‘so many of the Irish people wanted to give something of love back to God the father, even if they could not travel personally to Argentina’ Along the path of building up this community, Jim and Silvina knew that they needed to keep the Lord at the center of their work in Ireland, so what did they do? They prayed for a monstrance! And God provided! A former Sikh, who converted to Catholicism, managed to find a monstrance in Ireland, which will eventually be used in the chapel in Argentina to adore our Lord in the Eucharist.

This little chapel in Argentina is dedicated to God the Father. It is a gift of the Irish people to the forgotten in Argentina.

As Jim goes on to say, ‘it is the Mass that should bring every Catholic crawling on their hands and knees 24 hours a day in adoration of our blessed Lord.’ You see, Jim and Silvina get it. These two Irish locals get the big picture of how we should all lead our lives as Catholics: “Love of God, Love of Neighbor.” We as Catholics need both in this world in order to live out fully, and therefore truthfully, our Christian vocation! Perhaps the Lord is calling you to serve the poor in Argentina with ‘The Lord’s Way? You can click on the logo on the left which will take you to the website of ‘The Lord’s Way.’ There you will find information on how to donate your time, talent, and treasure, which all Catholics must consider, especially during this time of Lent.
