Our first day of the trek “Caminho da Fe” or Walk of Faith, we walked between 20 and 40km each day for 5 days, rested one day in the middle, a total of 140km. It was difficult physically, mentally and spiritually, but we arrived in Aparecida. The hospitality we received was wonderful, it really showed the difference between your average hostel and genuine Christian hospitality. The other pilgrims and the people in the posadas were willing to help us in any way and kept us very well fed and safe.
