“Here comes a comeback, The kid is back, back on track.” – Brett Dennen
The OBS mission is back to the ‘digital continent’, daily stories from the ‘one billion Catholics’

DENVER, CO, USA — The song lyrics above from Brett Dennen are a great theme for today’s video. The ‘website crash of 2012′ was unexpected, trying, and at the same time, an opportunity to grow and expand this ‘digital continent’ mission. Nothing will keep our team down. If our team around the world is doing the work of God, then His grace will most certainly provide the necessary tools to overcome the hurdles of technology.
Today’s Story
For any tech people out there reading this, the website crash was due to a filling up of the ‘root temp folder.’ Once that folder was at it’s capacity, down came the website about two weeks ago. We must always remember that this website is not a website at all, but rather an apostolic mission undergirded by the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic faith. However, since the focus is evangelization on the ‘digital continent,’ (the Internet), when the website crashes, it creates havoc for the focus of our mission. God willing, that will never happen again. But it might. Nevertheless, ‘the comeback’ has begun. The new interface is cleaner and flexible; the website crash was a blessing in disguise actually.
Without going into a ton of detail on the back story: after the site crashed, a series of events led this mission to a new look, which is what you see now. God willing, this is the final revamp that we will go through for quite some time. But the key is that we are back! Our team is more excited than ever to be of service to you in this digital space. Let us know what you think about the new look (seth@onebillionstories.com). Keep in mind that we continue to keep working on updating the website, slowly but surely. Hopefully within the next month most of the content will be updated. The website crash can’t keep us down, so thanks for coming back to the mission! And let your friends know that we are ‘back on track!’

Seth, One of these days you’ll figure out that you should abandon Word Press for Drupal, a truly superior CMS platform.
We’ll have content posting contest in Africa to figure out the superior system ; )
