Our Day of Rest… Cologne, Germany
What a blessing, two stories arrive to the OneBillionStories.com vimeo account in the span of 2 hours tonight. Oh, and did we mention that they were from different continents? That is right, one from Germany and the other from Brazil, thanks to the help of Sabine, Annie, and Al. You can find out more on Annie & Al using the tab above.
Today’s Story
What a blessing this mission has encountered in these last few months as more Video Missionaries continue to join our team from around the world. These ‘yes’ to the mission continue to affirm God’s plan for evangelization on the ‘digital continent.’ ‘Who will be it’s heralds,’ as our beloved Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI posed to all peoples, but especially the young, in his 2009 World Communication’s Day letter. This mission is blessed to now have a supporter in Germany, Sabine, who has begun today to share with us the beautiful churches of her homeland.
This story from Germany arrives from Cologne, the site of the 2005 World Youth Day. Sabine was able to gather some footage and pictures at the main Cathedral in Cologne, which is one of the largest Catholic Churches in the world. You will not want to miss this beautiful testament in stone to our 2,000 year old faith. May God be praised on this feast of the Epiphany through Sabine’s video work and the magnificent stone work of this Cathedral.
