Trusting in God, Fighting for Marriage
It can be difficult to figure out why some things happen in this world. Everyday, situations arise that leave the human race wondering, where is God in this mess? Do you ever ask that question? What has been your experience with the perplexing questions of daily living? Share below in the comment section.
Today’s Story
Today’s story is more of a reflection, than a story. But it still reflects God’s work in the world: holding on to faith. For it is by faith that we Catholics walk through the world. As Mary states in this video, a component of faith is accepting the unknown, or the mystery of God’s plan. It is the mystery that allows faith to happen. If we had every single answer in this world, there would be no room for faith. But without some of the answers, we receive a formal invitation from the Creator of the universe to trust in his plan, no matter what hurdles may arise, and arise they will. Even in the mystery of marriage, it is trust in God and perseverance that bring about happiness and longevity.
In concluding this story, Mary shares a short vignette into a family member’s experience with ‘sticking it out.’ As always connect to our Holy Father by clicking on the logo to the left.
