"My first memory of John Paul II was in 1993, when he came for World Youth Day in Denver. My Dad was in charge of delivering the thousands of dollars worth of flowers up to St Malo's where he stayed. There were a ton of flowers, and I was asking myself, who we throwing the party for?
Later on in my life, I came to understand why thousands of flowers were donated for our Holy Father's visit to the Rocky Mountains.
He had a presence and aura about him, that really cannot be compared to anyone else, except maybe Mother Teresa. He was at a super star level. But it wasn't a self-seeking super stardom, it was fueled by an absolute love and generosity for God."
