Let us pray this day for the restoration of the arts around the world, for it is through true beauty that people encounter God, and it is our duty as Catholics to make that opportunity available to the world.

Questions to Consider

Who is giving the homily or sermon, what is their background?

What is the goal of the homily or sermon, is it faithful to the teaching of Jesus Christ?

Historically, what have homilies in the Catholic Church taught, and what have sermons in the Protestant churches taught, and why?

What are the similarities and differences between Catholic homilies and Protestant sermons?

Where is sola scriptura proven in the Holy Scriptures?

Questions to Consider

What is Sola Scriptura?

What is the case for Protestants proving that sola scriptura works historically speaking?

Does Holy Scripture prove Sola Scriptura?

What historical examples can be used both ancient and modern to better understand Scripture in Christianity?

Is any source outside of the Scripture on par with the Scripture in establishing doctrine?
