As a young girl, Maria José discovered she loved to dance. When she was 12 years old, she entered a school of dance and began learning traditional Peruvian dances. She spent countless hours dancing during her adolescence. At the age of 15 she met a a group of consecrated lay women and decided that the Lord was calling her to enter this community.
Eventually she discovered through praying in front of the Blessed Sacrament that her true vocation was to marriage and she left the consecrated life to embrace her vocation. Since then she has rediscovered her passion of dance and is now dancing Marinera and contemporary dance. She is able to give more of herself to others because dance helps her to know herself better.
